ALS Ice Bucket Challenges at Gabriel Group

Although St. Louis has been quite warm, some of our associates have not been … in fact, they were freezing cold! It all started on Monday, August 25th at our All Company Meeting when, owner and CEO, Mike Peterson announced that he would be completing the Ice Bucket Challenge in honor of his father who passed away forty-three years ago from ALS.

He nominated our Executive Team, and it trickled down from there. All in all, 48 buckets of ice water were poured on Gabriel Group associates and two vendor-partners who were nominated and agreed to participate in the challenge at work. You can watch Mike’s video, in addition to the videos of other Gabriel Group associates, on our Facebook page, here.

In addition to personal donations many of the associates made, Mike informed the company that he would make a $25 donation for each Gabriel Group associate that participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge … Tuesday he donated $1,250 to our local chapter of the ALS Association. Associates had lots of fun watching and participating in this great cause!

Gabriel Group would like to congratulate its client, The Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho, this year’s recipient of the North-American Interfraternity Conference’s Best Development Effort in an Annual Campaign award.

Under new leadership, and following a record-setting 2012-13 Annual Appeal, The Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho sought to enhance its annual unrestricted giving campaign during the 2013-14 year to better communicate core messaging of the Foundation while striving to increase donor retention and maximize results.

The results are in, and they are impressive … Applying what they learned through the Cygnus-NICF Research Study, the Foundation increased total dollars raised by 20% over the previous year.  They realized a 66% donor retention rate.  And best of all, 198 new donors gave to the Foundation!

“We are thrilled with the results of Alpha Gamma Rho’s Loyalty Fund, and to top it off, they received the prestigious NICF’s Best Development Effort in an Annual Campaign award,” said Elsie Listrom, CFRE, Senior Vice President, Fundraising Services. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Alpha Gamma Rho and can’t wait to see what 2015 holds.”

Gabriel Group Now Offers Clients the Ability to Print Black Plus Red or Blue

Gabriel Group has added a pop of color by incorporating the DocuTech® Highlight Color System into its equipment mix.

Not only will this new machine allow clients the ability to create high-value, high-impact applications by drawing the viewer’s eye to where attention should be focused, but it is also 33% faster than its predecessor that only printed black and white. Current second colors available through Gabriel Group include red (PMS 485) and blue (PMS 300), which is often used for signatures. For information on additional colors, please contact your Gabriel Group account representative.

“The new applications that this machine provides to our clients are endless,” said Art Kerckhoff, Vice President of Client Retention at Gabriel Group. “From emphasizing sales prices or discounts, to drawing attention to critical messages such as expiration dates, warning labels and instructions, to signing letters in blue ink to stand out and increase response rates, the addition of color can help our partners reach and exceed their business goals.”

Take advantage of these new capabilities by contacting Gabriel Group at 314.743.5700.
