Hi, I am Amy … I’m an account coordinator with the fundraising team at Gabriel Group. I also help out with proofreading and donor insight surveys for all our nonprofit clients and have dabbled with copywriting as well.
I am a big proponent of the power of print and very “old school” in my belief that proper spelling and grammar are the foundation of good communication. Surprise, surprise … I have a strong background in newspapers. I have a degree in journalism from Marquette University, and I’ve worked at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the Effingham Daily News and the San Diego Union-Tribune.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, Benny, and two college-aged sons, Matt and Dan; walking my dog, Woody; exploring St. Louis history; gardening; playing the piano; and cheering on the Chicago White Sox.
My first job was as a candy girl at a movie theater.
As a child, I wanted to grow up to be an archaeologist or a medical tech, like my mom.
