Hi, I am Anna … I am originally from Des Moines, Iowa and moved down to St. Louis in the fall of 2010 to attend school and play volleyball at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in communication along with a minor in media studies and certificate in public relations in May of 2013. I then went on to receive a master’s degree in organizational communication immediately thereafter. I have been lucky enough to gain experience in many different areas of the marketing communications industry over the past few years, including copywriting, project management and now direct mail!
When I am not in the office, I enjoy staying involved with volleyball by both playing in leagues and coaching young girls at the club level, daydreaming of my next adventure and traveling to see my friends and family who have successfully managed to spread themselves out across the country.
My first job was as a ball girl for Drake University where my sister also played collegiate volleyball. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world getting to hand my big sister the ball when she went back to serve. It was here I fell in love with the game and never looked back!
As a child, I wanted to grow up to be a rockstar, not unlike every other 90’s kid. It turned out, however, that both my voice and my dance moves just weren’t up to par – but that doesn’t stop me from busting them out around the office now and then.
