Renee Durnin, CFRE
Director, Agency Services
Hi, I am Renee … I lead the Strategy and Creative teams in developing customized programs for multiple, national nonprofit accounts. We specialize in leveraging analytics and building effective creative communications for outright giving and planned giving fundraising campaigns. For the past nine years my team has been generating successful results for clients such as The Salvation Army, The UN Refugee Agency, World Vision, Project Hope, The George Washington University and Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.
In addition, I have more than 15 years’ experience in managing national direct mail campaigns and have assisted the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Golden Key International Honour Society, Smithsonian Contributing Membership, National Foundation for Transplants and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
I graduated magna cum laude in May 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Truman State University and acquired my CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) certification in 2009. I am an active member of AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals), St. Louis Planned Giving Council and National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and have made various speaking engagements at national and local nonprofit conferences.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brad, and two children, Anna and Dax. I love to watch the kids play sports (volleyball, soccer, swimming and golf) and play many of these myself. I also love to read REAL books (no Kindle Fire for me!)—nothing better than cuddling up in a comfy blanket and reading a juicy mystery novel all day!!
My first job was making pizzas at Breadeaux Pizza in Corning, Iowa (We even tossed the pizza dough in the air to stretch the crust!)
As a child, I wanted to grow up to be an author—Agatha Christie was my hero.
