The American Printing House for the Blind (APH) of Louisville, Kentucky has appointed St. Louis-based Gabriel Group to handle the Campaign Strategy, Creative Services and Direct Mail Production of its comprehensive fundraising program including acquisition, renewal and upgrade and planned giving lead generation.
Founded in 1858, APH promotes independence of blind and visually impaired persons and is the world’s largest nonprofit organization creating educational, workplace and independent living products and services for people with visual impairments.
The American Printing House for the Blind account will be managed by Elsie Listrom, Senior Vice President, Fundraising Services.
Gabriel Group announces the appointment of Jonathan Heyel as Chief Information Officer.
Jonathan comes to Gabriel Group from Aspeq Holdings, a manufacturing company that produces electrical heaters, where he transformed the IT department over a three-year period by using hosting providers, upgrading personnel and improving business processes by leveraging technology. He brings nearly 20 years’ experience working in various capacities to help companies effectively use technology to advance their business goals.

Jonathan has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from University of Iowa’s Henry B. Tippie College of Business. He and his wife, Katie, have been married for 14 years. In his free time, Jonathan, an avid squash player, participates in local and regional tournaments around the country.
Gabriel Group expands international reach by partnering with Jubels Communications based in Amsterdam.
