Dana Benbenek
Director of Technology, ISO

Hi, I am Dana … I’ve been with Gabriel Group since 1988 and have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to learn and grow without limitations.  My latest venture took me to Lindenwood University for my information technology degree.  In my current role at Gabriel Group, I work closely with both our internal and external customers on effective uses of technology in order to advance their business goals. In addition, I lead our efforts on information security, which includes our SOC2 Type II Certification – ultimately ensuring that Gabriel Group has set controls relevant to security, availability, confidentiality and processing integrity.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my husband, our six children and three grandchildren. In the summer, you will find me either on a boat or a jet ski, and in the winter, you’ll find me in front of a fire with my iPad.

My first job was at the Macoupin County Enquirer, a small weekly newspaper and printing company in Illinois.  I started there on a work program during high school and worked there until moving to St. Louis in 1986.

As a child, I wanted to grow up to be a professional photographer.  I used to practice by taking lots and lots of pictures of my 12 nieces and nephews.  It ended up turning into a hobby for me, rather than a career.
