Our Story

Gabriel Group was formed in 1983 and is owned by two active partners with more than 50 years of combined industry experience. While the company has come a long way since its humble beginnings, our core values have remained constant.

We are passionate about what we do. And we are passionate about our clients’ work. When our clients succeed, we do. It’s a partnership. We are an extension of their team and work hard to go above and beyond to exceed expectations.

Gabriel at a Glance

The services that we provide for our client-partners vary greatly depending on the client’s industry, but at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter if you are a Nonprofit Organization or a Gaming Company … what does matter is that you can count on us to be a trusted partner that is committed to doing good and to delivering results that matter.

A Trusted Partner: We don’t think like a vendor. We function as an extension of your team, enabling you to make the best use of limited resources. When our clients are successful, our success follows; consequently, we put our partners’ interests first.

Commitment to Good: We are firm believers in putting the needs of others before our own. This applies to both our clients’ needs and those of our community. Associates are encouraged to participate in our Pay-It-Forward efforts year round. From making a donation to dress down on Wednesdays to participating in monthly raffle basket drawings to pieing our Executive and Sales team members, associates raise money to make a significant donation to a worthy cause each year in honor of our clients.

Results That Matter: We know how to craft the right message. What’s more, we know how to deliver it at the right time to the right people. The concept is simple, but the science behind it is incredibly complex. We are dedicated to making our processes perfect. The outcome, simply put, is results that matter.

David Hawkins

Chief Executive Officer

Hi, I am Dave … My background is in accounting and operations. I have a business degree with a specialization in accounting from the University of Missouri – Columbia and worked as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Company. I also served as Vice President of Finance for CLC of America and for Missouri Encom. It was at Missouri Encom that I gained the direct marketing experience that helped me develop The Sterling Companies and then Gabriel Group.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my seven grandkids, hiking, playing golf and running. I climbed Kilimanjaro in 2013, trekked to Everest Base Camp in 2015 and am currently attempting to run a half marathon in every state.

My first job was a cashier at a bank in St. Louis.

As a child, I wanted to grow up to be Davy Crockett.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy skiing, playing golf, tennis, racquetball and traveling. My wife, Rickie, and I have four children and 10 grandchildren.
